Celtics vs Wizards Preview

The Celtics and Wizards play tonight at 8:00 PM in D.C. The Celtics who are on a 12 game winning streak stand at 20-2 and at the top at the NBA, the Wizards are 4-15 right now and are having trouble winning ball games.  Interim head coach Ed Tapscott hasn't been having much success since taking over. Now I could see this game getting out of hand early, but I expect the Wizards to play a hard fought game on there home floor. I plan on watching a high intensity game, with two teams that wanna win. Now I know the Wizards are 4-15, but because there playing at home, I don't expect a bad effort from them.

Here are my projected starting line ups.

Washing Wizards

C: JaVale McGee
PF: Antawn Jamison
SF: Caron Butler
SG: DeShawn Stevenson
PG: Mike James

Boston Celtics

C: Kendrick Perkins
PF: Kevin Garnett
SF: Paul Pierce
SG: Ray Allen
PG: Rajon Rondo

Well, this game should be intresting to say the least. The game, as I said, is being played in D.C. in front of of the Wizards fans, so I can't see them down 20 at half and them being booed off the floor at halftime. But as well as the Celtics have been playing, I wouldn't count that option out complelty. I see this game being tight and acctually coming down to the last few minutes. I think the Wizards are better then everyone gives them credit for. They are bad, 4-15 is just plain bad, but that doesn't mean that wont compete. I see the Celtics winning 103-94.

Celtics vs Pacers Preview

Well later tonight at 6:00 PM the red hot Celtics will take on the Pacers. The celtics sit at 19-2 and at the top of the NBA, while the Pacers and 7-12 and last in the Central Divison. The reason this match up jumps out out me is that the Pacers are one of only two teams that have beat the Celtics this year. That loss being the Celtics worse loss of the season, as they were crushed in Indiana 95-79. This should be an intresting game, here are my projected starting line ups.

C: Kendrick Perkins

FF: Kevin Garnett

SF: Paul Pierce

SG: Ray Allen

PG: Rajon Rondo

C: Rasho Nesterovic

PF: Troy Murphy

SF: Danny Granger

SG: Marquis Daniels

PG: T.J Ford

Injury Report

Boston: Tony Allen, Ankle, Questionable

Indiana: Mike Dunleavy, Knee, Out

I see the Celtics winning this game. Right now the Pacers are struggling and the Celtics have won 11 in a row and are playing Great. Rajon Rondo has really stepped up in the last two games, of course dropping a trible double vs the Pacers and then coming close to another trible double when he dropped 16 points to go along with 8 rebounds and 7 assists. The Celtics right now to be the best team in the league and the Pacers are still trying to fix some problems. I see this game being close but the Celtics winning 96-87.

Big East Preview and Predictions

Well the Big East looks to be the best conference in college basketball at the moment. It's very deep from top to bottom. As of right now it has 8 teams ranked in the top 25,  4 of them being in the top 11, Lousville falling from #3 down to #11 with there loss to Western Kentucky. Here's how I ranked the teams in the Big East.

1. Connecticut

2. Pittsburg

3. Notre Dame

4. Louisville

5. Syracuse

6. Villanova

7. Georgetown

8. Marquette

9. DePaul

10. Seton Hall

11. St. Johns (NY)

12. Cincinnati

13. West Virgina

14. South Florida

15. Rutgers

16. Providence

It's going to be tough to pick only 12 of these teams to play in the Big East tournament at MSG. All teams right now are over .500, it is still early but thats saying a lot for a 16 team conference. Conference play will be very intresting. A lot of good teams, it's hard to pick the winner right now. I'm a Lousville fan, so I'd like to say they have a great chance of winning, but because of all the tough teams it's hard to say. I can see 8+ teams coming from this conference playing in the National Tournament in March.

My Predictions.

Big East Winner: Connecticut

Runner Up: Louisville

Most wins: Connecticut: 25-5

Teams in NCCA Tournament: 8

12 Teams in Big East Tournamet

Connecticut, Pittsburg, Notre Dame, Lousivlle, Syracuse, Villanova, Georgetown,  Marquette, DePaul, Seton Hall, Cincinnati, West Virgina

Thanks for reading.
